Infrared Scanning                                                                                                               Infrared scanning is crucial in preventing and controlling visually undetectable maintenance problems in your electrical distribution equipment.  Infrared scanning allows us to detect problems early on before they cause expensive damages or unexpected outages that are undetectable by the human eye.  Having infrared scanning done can prevent accidents causing injury or death.   Michigan Switchgear uses a MikroScan 7515 Thermal Camera to measure the infrared radiation emitted by the targeted  surface and converts this radiation into a two dimensional image related to the temperature distribution at the targets surface. This allows us to detect faulty connections & overloaded electrical components.
